Whatever you are facing this Monday morning….however you are feeling about what is ahead of you today or this week, there is good news to ponder.

God, through the Lord Jesus wants and is seeking a relationship with you.

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are highly prized by the One that made you.

Each of us is extremely contaminated with vulnerability and need…even if we don’t see how much in this moment. But “need” is the very thing that has become the basis for our relationship with the Lord Jesus. In other words, “we qualify” for this incredible relationship with the King of Kings because of our great need.

The very thing we hate about our life here and now (our needs) is the very thing that has become the basis for this eternal relationship.

The relationship is not based on “doing things right” or being a “super Christian”….it is all about knowing our need and running to Jesus because of it.

We don’t have to focus on “how bad things are” or “how bad we feel” anymore…we can instead focus on how much He wants to love and help us in this moment.

In this, no matter how bad things seem, we have been given an open door into the heart of Jesus. He longs to embrace us and hold us and let us lean on Him.

We can rejoice in the “poorness” of our human condition…

Yet rejoice in the “richness” of His love and life to us!

Perhaps you might pause a moment and say out loud to yourself, “I’m really rich”.

“blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”
